This event is specifically for students interested in getting started in film. Jason will talk about how he got started in the business, and how he has grown into a career that has taken him around the world for over twenty years.
Spend five days in Middle Earth with director Jason Satterlund to learn how to take your idea from the script to the screen. This week-long intensive will show you how to get the most out of your idea, especially when your budget is low, and how to deliver a maximum impact on the screen.
He will discuss how to create memorable characters, engaging stories, how to budget, how to effectively plan for a shoot, how to cast and work with actors, cinematography techniques, post production, and marketing.
Mankind has been telling stories to each other since before we were keeping written records. Storytelling is one of the most powerful tools we have to communicating our message. Jason Satterlund will show how to use this tool to your benefit. Join him for this two day workshop in Darmstadt, Germany!
This week long intensive workshop takes a look at all the steps necessary to write, produce and complete a feature film. Starting with writing the screenplay, and then moving on to budgeting, shot planning, cinematography, working with actors, editing, color correction, sound design and finishing with distribution. The final workshop of the session, students will be able to bring their own work for critique.
English speaking students are not required for this class. An interpreter will be available.
